Know God

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
— 1 Peter 1:3 (ESV)

Our first step in helping people live the way Jesus leads is to help them Know God. Our primary method of facilitating this for people exploring the Christian faith and for those in the faith, is to have life-giving Sunday Services.

On Sundays we gather together as family, we worship God, gather around the communion table, hear a message from the Bible that is relevant for today, pray, and support each other.

Our next steps in helping people to Know God are:

  • Baptism 101. A class which explains the wonder of baptism and prepares you for that decision.
  • Living Hope 101. A gathering of new attenders where we talk about the history and direction of our church and your place in it.
  • Alpha. A 12 week facilitated group where you can learn the basics of the Christian faith and make a commitment to follow Jesus.

Find Freedom

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
— Galatians 5:13-14 (NLT)

People who have decided to make Living Hope Churches of Christ their home are invited to Find Freedom in a grace-filled lifegroup.

Lifegroups meet in our church buildings, in peoples homes, and anywhere else people feel comfortable. These gatherings are centered around the Bible, allowing it to answer questions about life, while supporting each other through lives challenges and triumphs.

Next steps in helping people find freedom might be a Christ-centered parenting or marriage course which integrates your faith with your important relationships.

Discover Purpose

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
— 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (NLT)

Each person has a place within the family of faith and is gifted for a purpose. Our commitment to your spiritual growth and development is helping you discern the spiritual gifts that God has given you.

We do this with a spiritual gifts assessment, a questionaire that helps narrow down areas where you have God given abilities. No questionaire can give you these answers and nor do we expect it too. It is a launching point for prayer and discerment along with our pastors and elders.

Next steps in discovering purpose may be attending Tell Your Story 101, a course in uncovering the story God is telling through your life so you can share your faith with others.

Make a Diference

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.
— Romans 12:4-6A (NLT)

We want to help people make a difference by putting your spiritual gifts into action. That means finding places to love and serve others. When we are all doing our part we see God's Kingdom developing on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Our pastors, elders, and deacons will invite you to "taste and see" different areas of ministry that might fit your giftings.
